Qualitative Methodology

Qualitative research methods are systematic, exploratory approaches designed to understand the underlying reasons, experiences, and meanings behind human behaviors, social phenomena, and complex realities. In contrast to quantitative methods, which emphasize numerical data and statistical analysis, qualitative research gathers rich, non-numerical insights through techniques such as in-depth interviews, focus groups, participant observation, case studies, and thematic analysis of documents or media. These methods prioritize context, subjectivity, and depth, enabling researchers to identify nuanced patterns and motivations that quantitative data alone cannot capture.

Focus Group Discussions (FGDs)

NEOFACTS provides professional external moderators for Focus Group Discussions (FGD), in-depth sessions with 8-10 preselected participants.

Mini Groups

Mini groups are a research method that is similar to a focus group but with a smaller number of participants, typically between 3 and 5 people.

Duos Interviews

Duo is a unique research method that involves two individuals engaging in a conversation about a specific topic, while coming from very different viewpoints.

In-depth Interviews (IDIs)

An IDI, or in-depth interview, is a type of data collection method where a researcher conducts a conversation with an individual to gain insights into their experiences, beliefs, and attitudes.
